Modular Curriculum
We Set the Standard for Customization
Every
Workgroup Has Unique Requirements
All workgroups vary in terms of:
- Development tools.
- Hardware/network configuration.
- Complexity of work.
- Past experience with configuration management tools.
Island Training's curriculum is designed to accommodate these differences. Our modular approach lets you design each class by:
- Choosing course modules from our library of over 500 modules. A typical one-day course consists of about 15 modules. Modules consist of 20% lecture and 80% lab, ensuring that students learn the product by using it.
- Determining order of the modules. The lab for any module runs independently of other labs. Every workgroup gets exactly the training they need with no additional charge. Your developers leave class ready to use the tools in your environment.
For
Unique Adaptations of Standard Product
Island Training's proprietary course development and production methods make it easy to accommodate your unique customizations.
- We modify standard labs to mimic your daily operation.
- If necessary, we add or modify lectures and visual aids to reflect your internal processes. The cost of lab/lecture modification depends on the volume of training you project. Often there is no charge.
For
Proprietary Wrappers or Tools
Island Training provides custom module development to support proprietary wrappers and tools that integrate with your development environment.
- If your workgroup uses wrappers or tools that provide additional functionality, we add your custom modules to our standard curriculum.
- If your wrappers or tools change IBM Rational® tool functionality, your custom modules will replace one or more of our standard modules.
Our product expertise, proprietary development tools, and modular design keep the cost of custom development surprisingly low. In fact, depending on your annual training volume, there may be no up-front charges for development and no fees for updates.
